Oh, boy! What a fun two weeks. The start of school. The new drop-off and pick-up changes. Raptor system issues. Fights. Kids getting hit by cars. Board members who yell at parents and threaten teachers with their “retaliation powers” and kick a tax paying citizen off podium. Gotta love KISD!

Where does the “Crazy Kooky” start? Not only am I a liar, I am also crazy as certain board members refuse to say my name out loud when they talk about me. That is how much I bother them, I guess. I am full of lies. So, why don’t I practice what Garza Sr. preaches…………………..

You figured they would have learned to shut up by now, giving me even more material than the last month.

In case you missed it, let me update you on the juicy stuff. Garza Sr. went around during a teacher conference stating that I am a liar and not to look or go to my page or read my blogs. I have to giggle at that, but in many ways, I am so pissed that he did that. I honestly don’t care what he thinks about me. (He smiles in my face when we see each other.) The part that makes me mad is he is a person of power. He holds many of those teacher’s jobs in his hand. So, when a board member states something like that to the public and to his employees, it can be taken as a threat. To tell teachers they do not have the freedom to read or participate on a Facebook Group page is and can be seen as a threat. What will he do to you if he catches you making a comment, or by God!, actually agreeing with me? He will probably want your job. He will give it to a good friend of his instead. That is what kind of person the public of Kingsville voted on the board. This is not someone who cares to hear the public because if you disagree with him, well, you are the enemy.

In case you missed it, you have been seeing Prado out and about early pandering for votes for next year. He has attended many more events in the past two weeks or so than he has the end of last year. If you really want to know what type of person Prado can be, befriend him, then publicly disagree with his logic. You may receive a hateful phone call when you do. Look forward to that if you don’t agree with him. Who does that? I’ve been married to my husband for well over a decade and he doesn’t yell at me because we have different opinions. We do not always agree with each other, but we respect each other in the process. This guy has no respect for the public, the same as Garza Sr.

In case you missed it or aren’t privy to conversations with Prado, there will be some hires at Monday’s board meeting. FINALLY! The majority of the board has been voting “No” a lot for many people in the past 3-5 board meetings. Many good people were voted against for assistant principal positions. Probably because they don’t have their kids enrolled at KISD schools. It didn’t stop Coufal and Garza Jr. from getting a seat on the board. Why should it stop a good employee from getting a certain job?

It seems in order to get a higher position in KISD you have to kiss certain people’s asses. You must agree with them or, well, you know what happens. Ring! Ring! Or, you have to be a family member. I am sure Prado has been fighting tooth and nail in closed session to get his wife a principal position or a higher pay grade. Sounds like he will get his wish this Monday. (I found this out by signing in at KISD to put in ORRs on Friday.)

I know who some of the hires will be. I will not state those people’s names publicly. Their name shouldn’t be thrown into any of this mess because Prado cannot keep his mouth shut on closed session type information. He will most likely get his way unless someone pulls a rabbit out of a hat Monday. That should be entertaining! Or maybe because of this blog, they will back tract this for another time or make stupid comments prior or after voting to justify getting their way. I have my own thoughts about this. If I were board member I would vote no, but in many ways be relieved that she is elsewhere.

A certain someone(s) has called me out publicly about not picking on other board members. I have, and here I will go again! Let me be a little blunter about it this time. Listen. If you disagree with me or you can prove I am wrong in some way, please DM me and let me know. If you want, just message it on the page. I love transparency and will not mute you unless you threaten me. See, some of their friends have come to their aid on Facebook to mainly threaten me and question me instead of bringing the facts. Haters are gonna still hate, especially when you spit the truth. I don’t know anything “negative” about any of the other board members because no one has come to me to tell me about them. They haven’t treated me like shit. Some people have tried with the vaguest of information possible. I don’t blog on vague. Or better yet, why don’t you start your own page or blog or grab some big girl panties and go to the meetings and speak about the “injustices” you hear and witness in public participation. I will live feed it so people can know. I am not opposed to free speech and will not infringe on others rights like some people do. Maybe if the board did what I told them, then the district would be more transparent to where they wouldn’t have to endure my blogs. I am only one person. I can only do so much.

I don’t think Crites sees the game being played by three board members. If he does, he has a hellova poker face. That is all I got for Crites. Otherwise, he questions things that should be PUBLICALLY questioned. I believe this is his way of being somewhat publicly transparent. Whether people are listening is a whole other story. If it weren’t for me, people wouldn’t even know about it because no one goes to these board meetings. He questions things not as an agenda to something. He doesn’t set up his public comments to try and cover his own ass or throw anyone under the bus.

Brandon Greenwood has blamed parents a lot. Yes, a lot of parents need to be blamed. But, Brandon, the problem is sitting on the other side of Coufal from you. Do you not see it? These guys have a personal agenda. Stop the agenda! You got some fight in you! It is obvious you care. Do something! You are brave enough to write the Record, be brave and start your own Facebook page. Brandon Greenwood, KISD Board Member Facebook Page. Let us know why you vote the way you do. Call out the bullshit. You legally can do so. You are the only person up there with a Master’s in Education. Use Facebook as transparency since the board majority won’t put transparency on the agenda.

Coufal. He is blind as a bat. He doesn’t see it either. If he does, I do not see him putting up a fight.

Yaklin looks like she has given up. Not as vocal as she could be. Would that hurt her image if she was? She looks miserable during board meeting for the most part. She isn’t at any events or school functions. At least no one I know has seen her.

Garza Sr., if he ain’t your friend or if you don’t kiss his ass, he doesn’t like you. He cares about himself and his family and friends only….and making sure he lets the community know why you should vote for him. He doesn’t even have two shits to give you concerning safety or transparency. He doesn’t even give people the decency of calling his ass out in public session. He will silence you. He absolutely hates transparency and that is apparent in the ways he talks to the community, teachers, and staff. He is bad for KISD! During election I am sure he has the support of the police and fire department. He also knows how to utilize vans to pick up 70 + year-olds at nursing homes who hardly know what day it is to vote for him at the polls. At least that is another TMZ Kingsville rumor.

Prado has the loosest lips of all of them. The three of them allow him to run around town running his mouth. Actually, the entire board allows it! He needs to be counseled along with Garza Sr.! Hey, Prado! You wonder how the public knows what occurs or will occur behind closed doors at board meetings? YOU! YOU are the leak! I know about some of the people being put up for hire this Monday because of you! I know why superintended Bera’s name is posed on months and months’ worth of agendas for the meetings. Because your plan is to fire her. More like your plan, Garza Sr. and Garza Jr.’s plan. You go tell people all over town, “Bera is gone! Bera is gone!” Garza Sr. tells people, “Bera will be fired!”

Just when Prado and Garza Sr. think they got this whole town on lock and everyone is their “bestie,” they couldn’t be more wrong! Your “bestie” is in my ear. It is a shame really. The people you think trust you, do not. The people you think you trust, you probably shouldn’t because they will soon be in my DMs if they haven’t already. I have a 50-page book on the stuff Prado, Garza Sr. and Garza Jr. say to people out in public. I don’t blog about that stuff. Most of it is about me, and I could care less what they think about me.

See, I care about teachers. I care about the custodian cleaning up my child’s vomit off the floor. I care about the nurse who hugs sick kids. I care about the safety of kids on the way to school, at school and on the way home. I care about teachers being allowed to teach. I care about staff being comfortable about talking about issues that arise on a daily basis without fear of retaliation. I care about the public getting involved on how KISD is run and the type of people who are running it. They care about thier image, thier friends and family, their pocket, and getting rid of Bera in any means possible.

Lots of people in the community say, “I wish I could be half as vocal as you, but I fear retaliation, being blacklisted and pushback from their friends in the community.”

If it weren’t for me, these dudes wouldn’t be able to rewind my live feeds and re-watch the catastrophe that is KISD board meetings. I know Yliana Gonzalez is up on my page whenever there is a board meeting. (As a matter of fact she just friended Kooky Kingsville 7 minutes ago for the 3rd time. She can’t make up her mind.) Remember that name folks, Yliana Gonzalez. She worked at KISD. Bera brought her over. During this time Garza Jr. was thinking more about his personal life than about the kids and teachers of KISD as he started a relationship with her. She left to be a superintendent in Realitos, TX to govern a whopping 27 kids. That district got a D. Why do you think the three of them want Bera gone? TMZ Kingsville rumor has it she is a resident or lives in Kingsville. Maybe she will put her name in Yaklin or Greenwood’s board seat this coming election year? Who knows for now.

They want Bera gone so they can put the girlfriend (or someone else they know) in her spot. I tried to tell ya’ll about this in so many ways in my last blog, but I don’t think you, the public, are listening! Bera has been on the agenda way too much! This is just a prelude to what is to come! This is me being observant. This is not a fact that I know, but it damn sure is starting to look that way. I REALLY don’t want to tell the public, “I told you so!” Again, I cannot say this is fact, but when I have had a good 9 people come to me saying they are going around town saying “she is gone” then I tend to believe more when more than two people say the same thing. This could be a ploy done by the board members to drop some crumbs to see who is the leak, but when several different board members have gone to several different people stating this, you end up being the leak. Learn how to throw bread crumbs guys, this is messy! Garza Sr., Garza Jr, and Prado are the leaks. No one at Admin or the board tell me a damn thing.

In the past three weeks these three board members have stooped extremely low. I am flabbergasted that not more of the community is upset about this. But then again, how would we know what the community feels when yall don’t speak up. Complaining over the internet doesn’t help! Go to these board meetings. Speak up! Be apart of the change! Tell them what you want them to hear!

Speaking of communication, as many of you know, Bera has her own Facebook page. I bet this irritates some people as transparency isn’t something that occurs in KISD. It is something I have asked for in the past 8 months. Even though it has not come up for discussion on an agenda, Bera has found a way to better communicate with the public. I wish she would use it at least once a day. Good or bad. She isn’t violating any laws by doing so. Go, Bera, Go!

Bera has a lot on her plate. KISD still needs to fill district admin positions. Bera is doing the best she can with the shit sandwich she was served. I don’t know if the board is trying to get her to be their puppet or not. I hope to hell not! She is making changes and some improvements while being as transparent as she possibly can with the extra time she has. I know some people don’t like her as far as employment is concerned, but she cannot appease everyone and not everyone is right and not everyone is wrong. She is already under a microscope. She is under my microscope as well. Let us give her the benefit of the doubt before throwing her under a school bus.

I just want to inform some people who may not be aware. She cannot help anyone or anything if she doesn’t know about it. Same for board members as well. Instead of straight bitching on the internet like I do (because I’ve been nice many times for long enough) please bring issues to the appropriate people. Allow them to correct mistakes, right a wrong, implement solutions, etc. If it weren’t for the parents and community members no one would know what really goes on in KISD. We all need to communicate with one another. We all need to work as a team. If anyone treats you like Garza Sr. treated me, email me, call me, message me!

Speaking of transparency, I have asked for it several times in open session. Crickets from all members of the board. Just so the public understands how things work, you can use public participation in open session to ask to put subjects on a future agenda for a discussion or a vote. You can also email them, but little good that does. Some (all) people including myself have asked for subjects to be put on the agenda and it never shows up. I enjoy transparency. It allows the public to be informed. It also allows the public to participate in decision making.

We vote these people on the board to be OUR VOICE too. If they don’t listen to you, you can NOT vote for them. Vote for the person running against them. Maybe that person will listen to you! Maybe the next person won’t talk shit about you for having an opinion. Maybe that next person won’t tell the public who it is they plan on hiring or firing before board meetings. Maybe that next person won’t take the same classes at conferences as everyone else. Maybe that next person won’t say, “Find me in the phone book” and then not answer the phone. Maybe the next person will answer every email from the public they receive. Maybe that next person will take rumor more seriously and be more transparent!
