Survey Monkey, Survey Not Fair!

If you have read my blogs in the past, you know I was upset about the voting on Survey Monkey through KISD website. For one, it wasn’t online that long. Two, the questions were simply vague. Not enough questions asked in a way that made sense to everyone or so people could tell where they were going exactly with that survey. And three, no one really knew about the survey to begin with.

Now here we go with a new KISD survey today about school campus calendar dates for 2019-2020 school year. It was posted sometime on the 16th, yesterday. The survey will close at 4pm today. Less than 24 hours is given to vote on it! I only knew about the survey when Ms. Adams stated in meeting last night that the new schedule is posted. I’m like, “What?” So I took out my phone and found that there is a survey for it around 9pm last night in the midst of the meeting. I of course posted it to Kooky Kingsville and Kingsville Community Help page. An hour later H.M. King Facebook page shares it as well.

Wow, that gives us plenty of time to figure that out and take it. It is like they make these surveys under the cloud of a dark night unbeknownst to the public. It is almost like they don’t want parental or teacher input by the way they go about it! But, at least they can say that they posted it. Then blame teachers and parents for not participating. Maybe a board member will question how many voted and state, “Parents don’t care cause they aren’t voting.” I can see that statement being made by someone. NOOOOOOO, we don’t vote because communication is so little that we don’t know about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be a reoccurring issue with parents and teachers. We don’t know much about anything. No one is on the same page. Parent’s don’t participate because people make it impossible!

I am also wondering if they turned on the multiple voting. I voted once and less than a minute later I voted again. Nothing popped up stating, "no multiple votes on the same server" or whatever. So maybe people can vote multiple times, making it not so fair. If people want to vote multiple times at least make them work for it by signing in on different computers or email accounts.

I found the survey to the school start time and these are the following questions:

#1. Are you a parent or student?

#2. I attend the following school and grade level.

#3. At what time do you get to school?

#4. How are you transported to school? #5. Do you believe that classes beginning 30 minutes earlier would be beneficial to KISD students?

Remember when I stated that Ms. Adams replied to the school board, “parents voted that they do mind adding an extra 30 minutes to the school day”? Is that what you guys read when you read #5? To me it asks would I like to be there earlier. In my thought process that means we would get out a half hour earlier.

TRANSPARENCY KISD! YOU NEED TRANSPARENCY!!!!!!!! COMMUNICATE!!!!!!
